Referrals

Who we accept referrals from:

We accept referrals from North Dublin City and County for all our services.

We also accept referrals from the entire HSE North Eastern Area for our residential programme and family therapy service.

Referral sources include Social Services, Courts and Probation Services, Community Nurses and Companies.

We are also happy to accept self-referrals.

We can help if:

  • You need information about alcohol related problems or are worried about your drinking.
  • You are concerned about: husband/wife/partner, parent, child, brother/sister, close friend, relation, because you feel their use of alcohol is causing problems.
  • You are involved in an organisation / group and want advice or information to set up educational or preventative programmes in the community.

  • You think that someone else's problem drinking is affecting you.
  • You are involved in a professional capacity with an individual or a family and you think alcohol may be a problem.

We believe that people experience alcohol related problems with varying degrees of severity. The aim of the Centre is to help each individual identify the degree to which alcohol is a problem in his/her life.

We offer a variety of approaches to help clients resolve their difficulties; abstinence based treatment, controlled drinking, individual counselling, family therapy, information for family intervention.

Because we appreciate that there may be difficulties experienced not only by the problem drinker but also by the immediate family, treatment directly involves, wherever possible, at least one member of the immediate family.
